Encountering Jesus

With any teaching or text it is helpful to ask the questions:

What did I learn about God?

What did I learn about man?

How can I apply this to my life this week?

Who can I talk to about what I’ve learned this week?


March 24: Running the Race of our Lives

Pastor Andy takes us through Hebrews 12:1-3, and teaches on the journey of the race we are running in this life. We study the importance of fixing our eyes on Jesus as we embrace this race, and understand our identity in Christ. 

June 30: Generous Giver

Pastor Andy Doyle teaches on the miracle of the loaves and the fishes as an example of how Jesus is a generous giver, and what we give him, he will multiply. 

July 7: The Paralyzed Man

Andy Doyle shows how the story of Jesus encountering, forgiving, and healing the paralyzed man in Mark 2:1-12, shows his great love and his great desire to forgive us, and welcome us home. 

July 14: If You Love Me

Pastor Andy discusses one of the last encounters that the disciples have with Jesus, where he promises them the Holy Spirit. Jesus explains how those who love him, will obey him,  accept the Holy Spirit, and live lives devoted to the Great Commission. 

August 4: Zacchaeus

Pastor Andy looks at the encounter of Zacchaeus with Jesus in the last week of his earthly life. We see how this story shows us Jesus' love and acceptance of those he encounters, and his desire to bring them closer to him. 

August 11: Walk on Water

We look at the Matthew 14, where Jesus walks on water, and empowers Peter to do the same. Pastor Andy discusses how this passage shows the trustworthiness of Christ, and the importance of keeping our eyes on him. 

August 25: Becoming Disciples

Pastor Andy teaches on Luke 5:1-11 where Jesus calls his first disciples, and shows how we can learn from these ordinary men, that through discipleship, we can do extraordinary things.
